On September 20th, ENG Good Listeners held our first Mental Health Workshop, facilitated by two members of the Kely Support Group from MIND Hong Kong. The workshop was interactive and informative, with lively discussions on: what we mean by the term mental health; overcoming stigma; and ways of improving our own mental health. All participants (students and Department members) engaged thoughtfully with the content, and came away with a better understanding of the issues involved. We would like to thank Nanki and Louis (Kely Support Group) for delivering an excellent session, and we hope to team up again for future Good Listener activities in the areas of mental health, mindfulness, and wellbeing.
