Selection Criteria

1

Madame K.Y. Hui Memorial Scholarship

–        Year 4 (final year) student in BA English with highest GPA in the major Literary & Comparative Studies Concentration courses in Year 2 and 3.

–        Eligible students should have taken a min. of 5 major Literary & Comparative Studies courses

Mr. K.K. Ip Memorial Scholarship

–        Final year student in BA English with the highest cGPA (attained at the end of semester one, final year)

Excellent Honours Project Award (Language)

–        A final year student with the best Honours Project report of the year in the area of syntax, semantics or language acquisition

Madam Po Chun Leung Memorial Scholarship

–        Local student in BA English with the highest GPA in major Literary & Comparative Studies courses at the end of the 1st semester of year 4.

–        Eligible students should have taken a min. of 5 major Literary & Comparative Studies courses.

Rainbow Award for Honours Project on Social Justice

–        Final year student who produces the best Honours Project of the year in the area of social justice.

–        Eligible students should have obtained a minimum grade of B+ for their undergraduate Honours Projects undertaken at the Department of English Language and Literature.

Phonetics & Phonology Prize

–        For best BA (Eng) Honours Project in the area of Phonetics and Phonology, with a minimum grade of A-

–        Should there be no qualified candidate in a particular round, then no prize would be given
