Experiential Learning Activities

Our Experiential Learning Activities are designed specifically for MALCS students and focuses on enhancing professional development, academic competence, and engagement with local communities. The MA Programme strives to deliver the best student experience by emphasizing experiential and multimodal learning. Students will complete media-enriched projects, take part in outdoor activities and study tours, with a view to enhancing their abilities to think out of the box, develop cross-cultural understanding, engage with different peoples and communities, and apply their knowledge to real-world issues.

In AY 24-25, students visited the M+ Museum.
In AY 23-24, students took part in 2024 Hong Kong Arts Festival and watched the multi-media adaptation of Julius Caesar.
In AY 23-24, students watched the contemporary adaptation of King Lear.
In AY 22-23, MALCS students visited Hong Kong Disneyland.
In AY 17-18, students visited the Kadoorie Farm.
In AY 17-18, students joined a cultural event at the Kwai Tsing Theater.
Study Tour

Our study tour is designed to offer MALCS students an engaging capstone experience while fostering global engagement beyond the HKBU campus. The tour includes university visits, guest lectures, networking opportunities, and numerous chances to explore local cultural sites. Please note that the study tour is an optional, self-funded, non-credit bearing activity that may take place locally or internationally.

MALCS 2025 Taiwan Study Tour
The 2024 MALCS Study Tour was in Singapore. Staff and students visited the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
The 2019 MALCS Study Tour was in Australia. Staff and students visited the Australian National University in Canberra.
